Life's a beach

Well, for me it is, at least. :)

Just a quick note to let you all know that I’m going to be away for the next week or so, scouting out our wedding venue in Los Cabos, Mexico. I’ll be back on December 17th, so until then, I expect you all to be slapping your own faces and moaning in dismay like a young, uncorrupted, and not-yet-divorced Macaulay Culkin in Home Alone.

In the meantime, here’s a little bit of a teaser for you: shortly after I return from my holiday on the beach, Protagonize will be running a short story contest in conjunction with AMD to provide a backstory for their new mascot character, Ruby. There will be several winners and a nice selection of prizes from AMD, ATI, and Alienware. The kicker here is that the contest is going to be hosted in an advance preview version of our new writing groups system, which should be up and running at some point over the holidays. Yay!

In any case, look for the contest in the next couple of weeks leading up to Christmas (while you fight your way through malls to get your shopping done, I imagine.) The excitement is palpable!

    Ooh, a contest! Very exciting.

Oh, and the Mexico and wedding stuff is alright too, I suppose.

Have a grand time Nick, looking forward to the arrival of the writing group feature.
